Hi there!
I have 16 beautiful Nyx Lip Liner pencils for ya. Now I've wondered if it's N-Y-X or Nyx...and when I spoke to Nyx customer service they said it like "Nicks"...so Nyx it is!
I have another post of Nyx lip liners that I posted a while ago HERE...6 of them to be exact. The colors in that post are: Purple Rain, Pumpkin, Nude Beige, Hot Red, Tangerine, and Natural (MAC Stripdown dupe).
I also posted swatches of 11 of the Nyx Long Lip Pencils HERE.
So in total I own 22 of the shorter Lip Liner pencils. Nyx also has the long lip liners (which oddly, have more product but are cheaper). I have a few of those as well that I haven't shared yet. I purchased all of these at Cherry Culture. Great website for the less expensive brands like Nyx.
Below you can see my longer pencils and shorter pencils to get the idea of how big one is compared to the other. Love all these slim little liners- they outperform MAC lip pencils and for under $2 each you can stock up!
Let's get to swatchin'! The first four are the more pale colors or nudes.

Swatches on my arm follow the group photo of the pencils above. I'm pleased to say that the color you see on the end of the pencil is usually dead on for what you'll get in the pigmentation. These all perform without a hitch. They glide on smooth. They can wear like a lipcolor and because they're not glossy can wear for hours.
Here's my take on these shades:
Flower: Pearlized pastel pink
Sweet Bean: Mauve taupe
1000 Years: (MAC Stone dupe) Golden brown
Pale Pink: Rosy pink
*Just FYI Nyx Espresso lip liner is a dupe for MAC's Chestnut pencil as well as Nyx's Toast for MAC's Cork (I don't own Espresso or Toast...yet, tee hee).
It's interesting to note that Flower and Sweet Bean have a frosted almost pearled appearance whereas 1000 Years is definitely not a shimmery color.
Next up!
Citrine: Pink persimmon pearl
Ever: (MAC Spice dupe) Mid tone orange brick
Mauve: (MAC Whirl and Subculture dupe) Dirty mauve pink
Nude Pink: (MAC Dervish dupe) Peachy medium rose
Rose: Rosy medium pink
The swatches below go in order of the pencils shown above. From left to right are Citrine, Ever, Mauve, Nude Pink, and Rose.
Out of all of these, only Citrine had any shimmer. Mauve (third, in the middle) looks like it would match with anything and anyone.
Second to last batch, the brights!
Plush Red: (MAC Redd dupe) Bright blue red
Hot Pink: Flaming fuschia
Bloom: (MAC Magenta dupe) Deep magenta
Pinky: Solid bright blue pink
Sand Pink: Bright red pink
Plush Red was so vivid and bright to swatch, meow! Also these all applied very opaque. I didn't have to run the pencil over and over to get a nice, solid color. I really do love these and think they have MAC's pencils beat- hands down. The only one I can't seem to dupe from MAC is In Synch- a nice peachy pink light coral. BUT I think if I had every Nyx pencil, I could find one :)
Nectar: Pearlized bronze coral
Coral: Um, Coral :) But it's a rather brownish orange coral
Nectar had an almost metallic finish that you don't see here. Great color! It was my fave out of the whole lot!
If you find yourself wanting a lip pencil, do give these a try. They're often on sale at Cherry Culture and they apply perfectly. I hardly ever reach for any other pencil and these are my go-to lip liners.
Have a great day,
T

These all look wonderful. I have a couple of NYX pencils and I'm always super impressed! (And yeah, it's Nyx like Nicks - she was the goddess of the night!)
Thanks Robyn. I love the mythological references in their names. I'm really loving Nyx right now and with Cherry Culture having a 20% off sale, it's haul time. :)
